I don't want to use stereotypes myself, but considering you guys actually have scheduled evengelist visits, I'd say you have more Fundie influence than we do.

You know what, Australia is a diverse place and your corner of Queensland where you went to school is not all of Australia! I've had to intervene in cases of sectarian bullying in Australian schools, just because you have never seen it in your little corner of the country does not mean it does not exist. I was a forces brat and went t schools in three states, bioth public and private. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but it certainly isn't part of the national fabric the way it is in the US. That's like me saying I haven't been bullied for being gay in Georgia and then saying 'it certainly doesn't happen as the Southern fabric of the US!' Or hell, it's like me saying 'I've been to schools in about 8 different states, on base and off base, but I've never been bullied for being white like some are in California or Hawaii so it certainly never happens!' As seems to often happen, you are using your experiences in Australia to argue things that happen in other countries. Reading about something is different to actually being in the country. I wouldn't try to argue the way you have about things in Australia even though I've read up on it.

They should at least set the time for the religious bullshit for first thing in the day so the atheist kids could sleep in...and I imagine would put quite the temptation on the religious kids
