How about proof that the Bible is right and the other religious texts wrong? Why is the Bible right, but the Rigvita not? or the Pali Canon? or the Qur'an? or The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster?
What makes your book, and your beliefs in condemning certain people right and others wrong?

I'm not Lightmelon but- wait for what? *seriously hopes you don't mean a marriage proposal* How are you surprised by this? It comes form a man who thinks people are made out of dust and claims he has fought a sea monster in a bathtube. I know but... but... I think I shall go sit in the corner and weep for humanity (and not point out that- 1) if Lightmelon really wanted to get married she could just ask him herself, 2) she could have any number of reasons unrelated to not loving someone to not get married (ie- I'm occasionally attracted to really, really effeminate men and transgendered people. Even if I, for some strange reason, fell head-over-heels in love with someone with a penis, I still wouldn't marry him until gay marriage was legal in all states because I don't feel it would be morally decent for me to enjoy rights that are arbitrarily and wrongly denied to others), and 3) ridiculous things like rushing marriage are probably why the Bible Belt has the highest rates of divorce in this country)

If I do some reading into gap theory?
First off, I noticed you didn't read what I wrote. So I'll say it again, only different.
Scholars around 1900 believed an Ice Age was preposterous because it wasn't mentioned in the BIBLE.
My point being that when people relied on the BIBLE for all their scientific information, it was easy to embrace ignorance for fear of being tortured for eternity. The "anti-Christian" scientists gathered this little thing called evidence and found out that it is quite possible that an Ice Age existed.
I'm aware of gap theory creationism. God had to jiggle the time-space continuum so the BIBLE and science could co-exist in harmony. What could be simpler than altering reality to suit His Word? Weren't those gaps just a wee bit bigger about 100 years ago, though?

You know, I wonder what would happen if you put this 999 dude in a room with Carico.
I bet they'd end up killing eachother.
OH! On a more legitimate note:
'Ey, 999, what are your thoughts on Jack Chick and his little comic book tract thingies?

So Lightmellon, an ex of mine who believed in the accuracy of astrology (I do not, and think that confirmation bias accounts for thinking it's 99.9% accurate, based on my current data and observations) offered to make me a "full chart" or whatever as evidence that I could skeptically check out. Any chance you do that sort of thing and would like to for me? I hate to knock things before I try them or dismiss ideas without data and am always up for a mind-changer. :-D I could do a rudimentary chart- not professional by any means, I don't really have the experience (even after all this time) or the kinda mathematical and star tracking programs used by hardcore astrologers...but a basic freeware chart, sure. I just have to clarify one thing- if you are a noob to astrology, sometimes charts will seem inaccurate because of a few factors. One, if a sign in your chart is a very close degree to another sign, well obviously inferior (free) programs can be a little off and classify it as the next or previous sign completely and throw things all out of whack. But that's pretty rare. There are also some astrological patterns that my sad little freeware won't cover such as retrogrades (signs that move backwards in our viewpoint from the Earth therefore basically reversing the meaning of that sign or planets position completely....that's a common reason why someone people will look at their charts and think "Why, I'm the exact opposite of whatever this says!" and shrug it off. Retrogrades are pretty common for some planets. I'm not too certain, but I believe Mercury (the planet closest to the sun, makes the most travels around the sun therefore more retrogrades a year) does one or more about a month? And the rest of the planets do them in less and less more frequency all the way down to Pluto (which is obviously still a planet according to astrologers and stubborn people like me who get to say "In my day, Pluto was a planet! Get off mah lawn!" and such.) So a Mercury retrograde is pretty common while a Pluto retrograde is pretty rare. Thirdly, the associations with the signs and planets goes in a lot of depth that takes years of study to fully understand- a simple overview is just a glimpse at the possibilities every degree of relations between the signs or the planets, luminaries, or signs themselves can hold. Well anyways, my point here is that there are a lot of little things that change a chart that my stuff won't cover but at least this free shit covers the meat and potatoes of the subject. So, I'll do one for anyone that wants one here, no problem. I'll just need this information, send me a PM: 1. Birthday (pretty obvious) including the exact time of birth (that's important) date and year...and in some cases, if in DST at the time. 2. Location of Birth Give me a day or two and I'll just copy/paste whatever my software coughs up and then discuss any questions yall have. Just remember, my freeware will give a brief description of what every sign and position of the signs tells about your personality and life. All I really ask is not to ridicule my study of astrology. It's been seriously studied since the days of the pyramids for a reason. As many skeptics would say, it's not all crap- hell, I'd even say this is my number one life's study. There's always so much more to learn, as the sky changes so does the study. It's mystical and fascinating. And this is coming from someone that can be just as skeptical as the rest of you.

Oh and thanks Nautical ^-^ We're having a great weekend together, just the two of us, out of work. And he's ready to get married, according to him, he's even picked out the place he wants to propose to me at (of course he won't tell me) and everything. He's a really nice, although quite shy and quiet and well to a point apathetic guy. I'm the one thats just not ready. I almost got married once before....and well, it didn't turn out so well so this time I'm taking my time, making sure that I'm ready. Also, there are some past loves a a more current one, in my heart I have to know I'm over and done with before I'll take the big leap. I don't want to sell him short, get married and realize I loved someone else all along. Thats on;y fair to him. But being the great guy he is, he's waiting patiently. His logic was "If I'm prepared to stay forever with you, then it really makes no difference, does it?" Pretty damn good guy...even though he can be whiny and reclusive, lol.

For the location- do you just want the city/county or the hospital too?
How do you tell if it's DST? All I know about DST is "spring forward, fall back". Since my birthday is at the end of December, I'd have been born during the "back" time and I have no idea if that's DST or not.
Awwww, your BF sounds like a sweetie. I'm glad you're not pursuing marriage until you're absolutely sure you're ready. The less you rush it, the more likely it is to last. Plus, with people around our age, I don't think it's a good thing to be married until we're older. We're just cementing our own personalities and lives. I think back to myself just a few years ago and I was completely different than the person I am now. I'd hate to marry someone at this age and find that we're not growing with each other, but away from each other.

No. Deliverance was a movie, released in 1972, about a group of men who embark on a canoe trip through the back country woods of Georgia to commune with nature, but end up having to fight for their lives (not to mention their sanity). The "Deliverance guys" to which lonelocust refers are a group of mountain men, who are the ones largely responsible for turning the main characters' peaceful canoe trip into a fight for life and sanity. ;D

in my ministry there are things called soul ties. When a person has an unhealthy relationship with some ( unmarried sex) what forms is a soul tie between the two. I would pray to break this and ask God to give back the part of you they took and give back to them the part that you took from the relationship also get rid of things that they may have given you. see if that works. I know you don't believe in the things i do but this does work. It is good to wait till you are 100% ready too. good for you

When a person has an unhealthy relationship with some ( unmarried sex) what forms is a soul tie between the two. Wait, if you need to have unmarried sex to have a soul tie, why did you tell me way back on the second page that I had soul ties with all my ex-girlfriends, with whom I never had sex? And what happens if you have sex with your husband and then two of you get divorced? People have unresolved feelings towards their ex-spouses, even though the sex wasn't unmarried.
