3. Jacob is probably one of the best characters, but this is negated when he imprints on an infant. He was a better love interest until he was turned into some kind of physically abusive prick that made Daddy Swan proud. |

It's like Meyer realized that Jacob was a better love interest, and promptly derailed his character. ETA: Also, possible instilled racism on the part of Meyer, considering how Mormons see Native Americans. |

You could probably base an entire sociological study on the FSTDT forum's weird cultural tangents at times. That said, Ayn Rand is a far more irritating hack-writer than Meyer ever will become, if only because most Randian followers don't grow out of that phase, they get worse.
