Have fun in your capitalist utopia. When you end up in debtor's prison for the crime of being poor, or homeless and starving to death with no arms because there are safety regulations, I'll be the first to meet you there, and all I'll say is, "I told you so." BTW, Jesus was a communist, you hypocrite. Hah hah hah. The world sucks, idiot. Deal with it. Life isn't fair, now shut the fuck up and stop being so mad at others who actually worked for the fucking money. Excuse the fuck out of me, but what do you even know about working for a living? I work a full time job to support myself and my wife, and own my own home. What experience do YOU have in the work force, supporting yourself, let alone anyone else? BTW, That's a very un-Christian attitude, thus you remain a massive hypocrite.

1 Corinthians 13:13. "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."

...the books are dripping with racism, pseudoscience, anti-Catholic bigotry, homophobia, xenophobia, historical revisionism, One World Government conspiracy theories, anti-environmentalism, free market economics, etc. etc. Because free-markets are the root of all evil, amirite? Have fun in your communist utopia--or did I mean dystopia, after all, the USSR only had to kill 70 million people to prove that Capitalism is the only possible way to a free country and world. The other stuff? Legit complaints. Which makes your vague hatred of capitalism completely out of left field. My biggest problem with your post here is the idea that any opposition to Milton Friedman's "free" market principles is automatically totalitarian Communism. It's kind of like when people say, "You either believe in Creationism or godless evolutionism", without any regard for believers who also believe in evolution. You know, something middle of the roadish.

He's a kid, of course he's not expected to take care of himself (even though, before regulation and child labor laws, he would've already been working 3 or 4 years now in a life threatening job and might possibly have been missing several fingers or an arm or leg by now). I mean, expecting parents to carry the complete load of caring for their teenaged children is TOTALLY a purely capitalist (that's what a totally free market is, right?) idea, right? Hay Chagen, guess wut? I live purely off of financial aid and subsidized student loans; the only work I've done in the past year was a work study job, and given recent circumstances, I'm seriously considering seeking out SNAP to help with groceries. My parents (who help out as much as they can and whom I owe some money to by now) live off of my dad's disability and my mom's financial aid remnants. Aren't I just scum of the fucking earth? Operations Idiots Are Making Our Universe Terrible & Large Egress Takes Some Gumption; Oy

Like great corporations that pay their fair share, or CEOs who truly value the safety of workers over profits, and don't get me started on the committment big businesses have to environmental safety--no way they'd put profits over clean water and air if we regulated them even less.

I have a good design spec.... Is it at all bad that I know exactly where that comes from with just a single glance? No worse than the fact that I knew what it came from...

Sounds nice, but the fact remains that Leninist "communism" was authoritarian from its beginning. If you propose that a professional class of leaders rule the roost in a fashion that is designed to be dictatorial the chances of them willingly giving away that power is pretty bloody slim. Nobody tried to be equal, they vanguard of the proletariat found themselves in charge and said "hey, you know what? Fuck equality"! This is why I'm a socialist but not a Leninist, I don't trust a professional vanguard to be any better at running things than the idiots who are there now, particularly not under the banner of any type of dictatorship! I guess I should have said authoritarian and made my post a little clearer. They went back and changed what they didn't like in communism, but then they half assed the rest of what they defined as communism. They aren't perfect, but they are the closest thing to communism there was as a major country. And to danarth, my apologies.

No need to apologize, My initial post wasn't really too well thought out and my response to you was perhaps a bit terse and flippant. Since we are intent on making a base on the moon, seems it would be a new nation too....any ideas for a name?
