Well, at least they have a tiny bit of sense. More like these lickspittles are trying to cover up evidence of their support for a criminal if (and when) they find themselves facing retribution. Ten bucks says this asshole would be the first one to piss himself if there ever was a violent uprising. Considering how easy it would be to find him, given that - he has bragged about being part of the TEA Party Patriots of SW Nebraska
- in doing so, he revealed his real name
- Stratton isn't a big town, and there's only one business there called "Timber Creek Homes," from which he got his handle
- for identification purposes, there's a photo of him in the McCook Daily Gazette
- there's a good spot to set up for a siege of his home--the elementary school across the street
I'd have to say, "No shit."

But remember, there is no language of violence in modern political discourse. Anyone saying political figures are encouraging actual violence are just idiots who don't understand the concept of "metaphor". That is my fear about conservative extremists; no sense of metaphor. Everything is so literal to them; the only metaphor, if any, they see are the weird Illuminati-like symbols popping up everywhere which only confirm their wildly delusional belief system. You can't tiptoe around them simply because they'll take the tiptoeing itself as a conspiracy. Perturabo: You from SW Nebraska?

Perturabo: You from SW Nebraska? No, I'm not a Nebraskan. I just happen to know how to use Google to get a real name from a handle or e-mail address, WhitePages to find an identity and physical address, and Google Maps and iTouchMap to confirm that address and give myself an idea of the surroundings.

You know, this the reason I think liberals in this country need to dump the whole gun control issue, because it's aways blown way out of proportion, and it just adds more fuel to the fire, also I see somewhat of pattern with most big shootings, the guy always seems to be mentally unstable, and it says a lot about the mental health of the people in this country. Conversely, the number of mentally ill people who get their hands on guns legally and easily is one of the big reasons I think we need gun control. It's basically the "ruining it for everyone" premise.

I'm a so-called 'gun freak' (as people have used the term immensely on here which I am assuming is anyone who knows a gun from the barrel to the trigger) and I am in favor of tightening gun control so that you have to have a mental evaluation and have to keep in contact with a government agency that gives out those tests every 3 years or so.

I'm for background checks, epecially if the person had obvious red flags in their past, but I'm just sick people acting as if it equals the gov't taking their guns aways, which it doesn't. Also I'm sick of the gun rights groups, along with a good deal of owners, just sitting around doing nothing to help in solving problems that involve guns...they should be a little more pro active, instead of bitching Sorry for derailing the thread a little...

(as people have used the term immensely on here which I am assuming is anyone who knows a gun from the barrel to the trigger) They're referring to people like the guy quote in the OP. The ones who basically tie their entire identity to their guns, and think it makes them hardcore patriots and protectors of freedom.

There's a difference between enthusiast and nut. I'd make a nymphomania joke here, but I'm lazy today.

No. I've had people here use the term that isn't referring to people like the guy in the OP. Along with a bunch of other words. But eh... we don't need to go down that route. People scare me. Especially people like the guy in the original post. *shudders*

*shrugs* Well, that's my definition of the word, then. Hell, my brother is currently in the process of applying for a gun license, and I certainly wouldn't call him a gun nut. I might go down to the range with him at some point and enjoy some target shooting.
