So far, Miles is the only "right" one here. Here's an idea, everyone, and I do mean everyone (from the mods on down), just leave this thing to die. I mean, as long as the title is confronting right, no matter how much of an asshole it makes one look. You sound like one of those nut bags that supports Paul Watson down there. Sure he's breaking laws and being a total asshole, but hell, he's being confrontational with the Japanese, he's bringing the issue attention. Instead of winning over the Japanese population and having them pressure the government to stop, he's pissing them off and inadvertently pushing the Japanese to continue. Just so you know, you can change the title of a thread without having to make a new one. I didn't stop you from doing that, I only stopped you from making a duplicate thread. Duplicate threads, especially from the same person, can easily be seen as spam, so instead of complaining about it be thankful I'm nice and didn't give you an Official Warning over it. Oh, and the thread wouldn't have been immediately derailed if you hadn't contested the Official Warning (in the thread; you could have always taken it to PMs), and if I had been feeling particularly ornery I could have bagged you for thread derailment, but again I'm nice so I didn't even consider it.
Oh, and calling yourself the "conscience of the forum" (which you did multiple times) is pretty much the same as calling yourself the moral police of the forums, as both imply trying to enact your conscience/morality on the forum. Semantics only go so far.

Well, I for one, am happy to have LHM point this sort of thing out. Being a typical American I had no idea this sort of thing happens, in my very own back yard no less! You see, I am very blind when it comes to injustices committed by my own countrymen/women. So there is racism in my country. And I wonder if there is sexism as well? Makes you think, doesn't it? I also applaud your choice of thread title. If it didn't say America and Woo, I would not have clicked on it because I wouldn't know it had to do with the Greatest Country in the Fucking World! And without the Woo part, I would have thought there were negative connotations and not have opened this thread. So thank you LHM for opening my eyes. Don't listen to the haters on this board. Without you as our conscience, we all would have to act as our own.

I've already apologised about the rule thing, and tried to restart the thread in a format that would be in keeping with everyone else's expectations of what "the rules" say. I've tried, repeatedly, to return the discussion to the OP. And still people are banging on about the rules, including the moderator. Seriously, just WHAT would you like me to do here? Honestly, LHM, this is a classic case of lying in the bed that you made. You have been so confrontational, so condescending and misogynist, you have been so obviously drama-trolling for so long that no one here is inclined to give you the slightest bit of slack on anything. People won't "return the discussion to the OP" at your instruction because to them, the bad feelings and ill-will you have engendered are simply more pressing and makes them unwilling to follow you back into the discussion you claim you tried to start. Come on, man, you aren't an idiot. You KNOW that with your board history this post was nothing more than a flame-bait. Don't pull the "Who, me?" shit now, because we're not stupid either.
