They'll blame it on Harry Potter killing in the box office though.

All them witches and demons turning kids towards Satan when they can be watching wholesome Christian movies such as a forty-some year old woman butcher a moose.

"The Christmas Sweater" was not a failure. It still sells very well every Christmas season, and Beck makes a lot of money off of it. "The Overton Window," on the other hand, was an abysmal flop no matter how you look at it. It only made the bestseller list for two weeks because Beck himself bought 10s of thousands of copies to give away as gifts and premiums. Kinda like Palin did with her book Honestly I wish she'd just shut up and fade off into the past. Her level of bat shittery is hard to eclipse with her gone, let alone spewing new

I just don't get WHY she seems bound and determined to jam herself into public service. She is utterly unsuited to it in terms of temperament, ambition, ability, intuition, or desire. She seems to desperately crave public approval and lusts after public power, but is at the same time utterly disinterested in the authority, responsibility, or day-to-day work that such a position would entail.
She is a mystery to me. If she was even 1/8th as intelligent as her worshipers believe she is, she would realize that public service is the LAST career she should ever consider in terms of her own desires, skills, and aptitude. Watching her doggedly pursue public office is like watching the stereotypical dumb-jock endlessly try to get elected as the President of the Chess Club. She doesn't even LIKE the game, so I am mystified why she seems so desperate to play.
She seems perfectly suited to where she is right now. A cliche talking head on Fox News. For her own sanity, not to mention ours, someone should quietly suggest she just stay there.

Pretty much. But even then there's a limit.
Ironbite-I really wanna know what demon put the "you can run for public office" bug in her head...it's a mystery to everyone.

Oh I get that she's an attention whore. That much is as obvious as the fact that she's a textbook narcissist. What I don't get is how she can be so dense as to not realize that if she ever actually achieved the Presidency, she would be utterly miserable. Hell, she couldn't handle being the governor of Alaska, does she somehow think the President has magic powers of state?

Ibbles; Fundie manifest-destiny delusions wrapped around the need to be a mighty moral icon, much like Bachmann. That and a serious attention-deficit streak. Palin's somewhat Dominionist; Bachmann simply has the gall to go full bore on it, unlike Caribou Barbie and Klondike Kardashian-- er, Bristol and Sarah. Media figures. Obnoxious, substance-free caricatures of people with an attention-craving that can only be sated by the media spotlight.
Unfortunately, Bachmann seems to have more of an attention span than Caribou Barbie, and she may yet prove to be seriously problematic.

Orlando isn't that red infact it goes pretty dem... so I don't think it fair to call it a conservative city.
As for Palin the film experience- I hope the copies get buried somewhere in the Nevada Desert like the ET game

e: referring to The Christmas Sweater, but I guess this kinda works with the OP too I lol'd. What I don't get is how she can be so dense as to not realize that if she ever actually achieved the Presidency The world is truly full of wonders. I think Palin's issue is a combination of that natural blind spot for stuff she doesn't want to know, which everybody has, and an absolute absence of any rational or introspective capacity that allows most of us to pierce the veil. Not like we haven't seen that a million times with fundies before, she's just in a position to really flaunt it. Orlando isn't that red infact it goes pretty dem... so I don't think it fair to call it a conservative city. Same with Denver. It's pretty blue overall.

So yes, she probably does think the president has magic powers

Good God, she's Peggy Hill turned up to 11.
Wait, at this point, we need a Peggy parody of that "even Jesus is ashamed of your stupidity" meme.
