This gives me greater feelings of schadenfreude than the aftermath of Glenn Beck's "The Christmas Sweater". The embarrassing, ironically-titled "documentary" manufactured by pro-Palin sycophants has officially bombed during its very limited release to a handful of conservative cities (Dallas, Denver, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Atlanta, Orange County, Phoenix, Houston, Indianapolis & Kansas City). The film has been, thus far, panned by critics--in fact, it debuted to an empty theater in Orange County. Even right-wing NY Post critic Kyle Smith gave a scathing review of a rough cut of the film. He wrote that "it’s so outlandishly partisan that it makes Richard Nixon look like Abraham Lincoln" and that its "febrile rush of images — not excluding earthquakes, car wrecks, volcanic eruption and attacking Rottweilers — reminded me of the brainwash movie Alex is forced to sit through in 'A Clockwork Orange.' Except no one came along to refresh my pupils with eyedrops." And for not treating this Palinista wank-fantasy with kid gloves Smith was apparently banned from the critics' screening. Perhaps this is a sign that she's fading out of national consciousness. We can only hope.

Unfortunately, Palin fading out of the national consciousness means Bachmann is filling the same slimy void. This is not at all a comforting thought. Palin was simply dense and clueless. Bachmann is a wackaloon fundamentalist with Dominionism on the menu.

Well, in 2012 it's definitely going to be Palin/Bachmann (or vice-versa).. or Perry/Bachmann (or vice-versa) it's going to be an ass-load of crazy no matter what.

Even Obama/Biden is unacceptably bad.

Her movie's failure can only mean one thing. Sexism. You all can't handle her because she's a woman! Well, in 2012 it's definitely going to be Palin/Bachmann (or vice-versa).. or Perry/Bachmann (or vice-versa) it's going to be an ass-load of crazy no matter what. Palin Bachmann seems incredibly unlikely, though I am praying to Barbara Keith that it happens. That much crazy pretty much ensures even a halfass coward like Obamamamamamama can win.

"The Christmas Sweater" was not a failure. It still sells very well every Christmas season, and Beck makes a lot of money off of it. "The Overton Window," on the other hand, was an abysmal flop no matter how you look at it. It only made the bestseller list for two weeks because Beck himself bought 10s of thousands of copies to give away as gifts and premiums.

The Overton Window sold well in Indy. Hell, everything Beck touches sells well here. I sometimes work at a bookstore outside of Indianapolis, and it was on our store's bestsellers list for a couple of months. When it first came out, we literally couldn't get it in fast enough to satisfy demand.

The movie appears to have flopped.

Of course no one went to see it.
The whole nation already watched her fail on various TV networks. Why pay to watch it again?
