Question: Is there a death penalty in Norway??? The absolute maximum this fundie coward will ever recieve is 21 years. The death sentence was taken out of Norwegian Law shortly after WW2 when Quissling was executed. This is a country with the lowest crime rate, the highest standard of living, one of the best education systems and healthcare on this planet. Also the most atheist and humanistic countries on this planet. Fundies, hang your heads in shame, then hang yourselves and do the world a big favour. 21 years?...21 YEARS? MOTHERFUCKING GODDAMN FUCKING SHIT... HALLELUJAH...HOLY SHIT...WHERE'S THE TYLENOL?!!!

21 years is a long time. Especially when you have to spend it alone. (I doubt that the other prisoners would be kind to him.)
Give him the maximum sentence and lock him up. I really think that is the best solution, the mass shooters in Finland took the cowards way out and shot themselves. 9/11 terrorists died in the attack and Osama was shot instead of being captured.
It would be much better to let the justice system do its work. That would show that even after something as tragic as this, the system still works and people have no need to resort to lynching and mob justice.

Yeah, I'm always a bit disappointed when I find out that a perpetrator of an atrocity died instead of facing punishment... and I include those that have been given the death penalty in there. You can't punish a dead man.

I...uhhhh....what. <brain breaks> That new max security prison is nicer than my apartment. The one in the clip from the Michael Moore movie seems more like a wonderful vacation destination rather than a prison. I guess they work on rehabilitation rather than punishment?

Actually yes, from my understanding that's it exactly. And seeing as there's been reports that somewhere in the ballpark of 60% of violent crime in the country is commited by tourists and recent immigrants they got to be doing something right. For the record, I actually do believe in the death penalty but if Norway's way gets results I say don't mess around with a good thing. But rehabilitation only works for people who want to rejoin society and function in it. Shitfucker Anders Breivik's ultimate goal isn't just getting ahead in life like the average criminal. He's out to literally reshape Norweigan society to his own liking. He will not rejoin society because he despises every aspect of how it currently functions. His crimes go far beyond murder or even mass murder. He declared war on his own country, literally. His goal was to spark a violent revolution. He's eligable to be tried under military laws. While modern Norway refuses execution even for war criminals, an indefinite prison sentence may still apply to high treason and terrorism. I hope he gets life in solitary confinement. With a TV just outside his cell so he can't turn it off playing reruns of Little Mosque on the Prarie forever.

Norway has a very effective prison system, thinking it won't be able to work here seems to be driven more on emotions than any sort of logic. I fully understand that it seems distasteful, but when something works we need to put aside our irrational, monkey desire to punish and do what has been shown to be function.

WorldNetDaily still thinks the shooter was Muslim. One user of Conservapedia is very christianlike "Bah, I'm sure the 92 people killed would have just turned out to be pinko socialists anyway. TerryB 01:51, 24 July 2011 (EDT) " www.conservapedia.com/Talk:Main_Page

WorldNetDaily still thinks the shooter was Muslim. They also still think Obama is Kenyan, and they've had significantly more than a day to come to terms with being wrong on that one.

I agree with Vene.
Also, I think I told you: He won't get 21 years, he's looking at lifetime in custody. Norwegian law opens for that if the individual in question is percieved as dangerous to society.

I guess you could say it's a built-in loophole for emergency use?
