Iran should practise by 'blockading' North Korea.

I'm reminded of a bizzare display of bravado in early 1940, when the whole Belgian army (all one division of it) was paraded past the German embassy in Brussels. I can imagine German military attache mentioning that his brother in law commands several tank divisions, and the Belgians retorting "Yeah! Well we have a tank too!" and promptly towing out their lone Renault FT17 behind a team of horses. This is what Iran is doing... Trying to look tough so nobody will invade them. It's stupid and counter productive, and it feeds enemy propaganda. So you're saying the US is Nazi Germany? Godwin!

Seriously, I hope the USA doesn't do the irresponsible thing by lashing out at this "blockade"

Actually I think this is kind of clever. I remember Bill Maher making a joke about how we have military bases all over the world, and not just the Middle East but in places like Germany and Italy, etc. etc. not to mention Guatanamo Bay in Cuba. He said something along the lines of "Imagine the collective conniption fit the country would have if the Guatemalans decided to set up a military base in the middle of Kansas.
So long as Iran doesn't enter U.S. territorial waters, then they're not doing anything wrong, and they're certainly doing no worse than what the United States is doing right now all over the world.

Well, this should be hilarious. You'd kind of think they'd be smart enough to realize that a single sub could destroy both of those ships without them even knowing it's there. It wouldn't even be as engaging as target practice. I especially like this part... I know exactly what their response was. They fell over laughing so hard they shit themselves. That, or they shrugged, sent out a carrier as a nice "fuck off," then went home and banged their wives. Ya know, like real Americans. Because, if there's one thing we Americans love more than killin, its fuckin.

I'd be more concerned if those ships were capable of launching missiles or something.

I think the U.S. should let the Iranian navy in. As a gesture of, IDK, something. But bring them into New York and tell them to take a good look. This is what freedom looks like. This is the Great Satan up close.

With the loons in power in Iran like Admadinejad, who are constantly spinning conspiracy theories about well recorded events like the Holocaust and 9/11, it would not surprise me if one or both of the Iranian ships "mysteriously" sank or suddenly developed damage from an "attack" and the United States was blamed.

This is why we shouldn't have gotten rid of our battleships. Nothing intimidates like a battleship.
