If religion isn't special, why am I expected to treat it specially, to make apologies for it when no one would bat an eye if I were blaming a politician? Blaming a politician (a person) and blaming a religion (a vague set of ideals) are two entirely different entities. Blaming religion is like blaming guns/knives/tools for murders. What I'm saying is blame people specifically. Zachzki is killing in this thread!

Concepts like racial superiority & imperialism are created by people, so yes, we can only blame people >_> Why blame things in a roundabout manner when you can just blame the core of the problem?

Beliefs are not only an effective way to manipulate people, they often inspire the "instigators" in the first place. "People" are not the Devil, living outside of worldly influences & perverting them to their advantage. Even if they were, it wouldn't matter, if an idea lends itself so easily to corruption & manipulation, it's a problem. The belief is at the core of the problem, & even if it wasn't, "If you want to kill the general, shoot his horse."
