I keep reading comments on sites thinking the daughter is a manipulative brat and somehow set the whole thing up. Here's a disturbing comment from the god like productions forum.
No words.
I mean what's more likely, the girl being abused by an asshole father and not being believed, or her setting up some elaborate xanatos gambit to make it look like her father's a monster. I mean sure there's a small possiblity that the second is true, but there's also a small possibility that I will win the lottery. I'd go with the odds and say he's an abusive asshole.

Like it or not the possiblity of her "putting on the show" is real.
However I see no reason to doubt it unless her father can provide some form of proof of his claim of blackmail. Like sandman said, if the allegations are real, I would see her alot less sympathic and see her as quite manipulative.
