Sorry to bump this thread (it's only been a week, this isn't considered necro-ing, is it?), but something just hit me today. All of these people who got the tweets- were they too damn stupid to figure out how to use the "block user" function if they didn't want them? I mean, seriously, something about this whole "Oh the poor women who got the tweets!" thing was bothering me, and it just hit me as to why- because they're grown-ass adults who supposedly know how to use the Internet. Most social networking sites have a way to block the users you don't want to interact with. Why didn't they use it? Article that brought this on

I don't understand why anyone gives a shit. He didn't send his pics to any children. He wasn't harassing anyone. This issue belongs between Weiner and his wife.

Seems it was made into a big enough issue that he decided to resign anyway. Meanwhile, the republican hypocrites stay in congress.

So... there's something wrong with him taking responsibility for his actions?
Doesn't that give us the moral high ground?

See, I'm viewing it through the lens of this video and the fact that they haven't even been married a full year. And nobody likes a sex scandal.

I still just don't understand why the people who were getting the tweets didn't just block him, if they did indeed not want them.
Seriously, this is driving me absolutely bonkers.

Yeah, see, he lied about it...for about a week.
...unlike the republicans who pretty much never admitted to doing it until it became too damn obvious to ignore, and then never once resigned and instead got GOP support for their re-elections.
Fucking hypocrites.

Fucking hypocrites. Yeah, they are hypocrites. And if Weiner did the same thing as them, he'd be a hypocrite, too. First rule of politics and First Person Shooters: Conserve ammo.
