www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/03/wigger-day-red-wing-minnesota_n_916323.htmlSo I guess the big question is: Is the school to blame? This is something that could clearly create an uncomfortable atmosphere. The school made the people change, but apparently this had no impact on the "tradition." Seems to me like a no-brainer that someone should have stepped in, and it certainly does come off as tacit approval. People at my school got worse punishments for wearing "Co-Ed Naked" shirts. "It's not our policy" doesn't really make it any better to me. Then again, I went to a high school that couldn't see why blacks were uncomfortable with a Confederate Flag hanging in our gym....So I'm kinda used to dumb white folks not "getting it."

When I was little, I thought a "wigger" was someone who wore funny wigs.

And here I thought at first they were talking about something out of Bobobo bo Bobobo (however the hell that is spelled). That said, the school did do something very stupid here. From my understanding, they had a history of doing things like this at that school, and if that is true, then their role as a school needs to be reexamined.

Does the school have any black students? And if so, do they get to act like Dave Chappelle when he parodies white people?

Yet another fucked up Minnesota school.. Okay so let's see, we have Brawkmann's gay-suicide psycho school or two, and now a "Wigger Day" school. Are they in any way close to each other? Can we just...do something to that entire area? Put intelligence-enhancing shit in their drinking water? Stupidity Killing Drugs? Is there a law we can pass? Follow their "advice" and create youth camps where we "reeducate" them with common sense? Ignorance this pervasive cannot be allowed to stand.

When I was little, I thought a "wigger" was someone who wore funny wigs. It used to annoy me that people described "wiggers" as white guys who "acted black," Because I dislike the notion that you can act like a skin colour. I've given up since, but the term is still kind of annoying. Especially when you consider it comes from "White Nigger." Hey, what a lovely unoffensive term. Does the school have any black students? And if so, do they get to act like Dave Chappelle when he parodies white people? To be fair, it IS Minnesota. They're not quite as white as Vermont, but they only beat us by three or four people. >.>

Wow. Is next week "Shylock day", or do they have a "Asia day" where everyone wears their hair in a tight ponytails and the women get their feet tied?

Aww. I was hoping by Asia Day you meant the progressive rock band. I was hoping for the insanely-hot Bishies to come out of the woodwork.

Am I a horrible person for actually wanting to see all the kids emulate the retarded stereotypes they think are true about whites/blacks/Asians/Mexicans/whatever for the sheer comedic value of it?
A "Holy shit, we all look stupid. People actually believe this about me? Wait, what if I'm being just as offensive?" epiphany would be greatly appreciated as well.

Does the school have any black students? And if so, do they get to act like Dave Chappelle when he parodies white people? Though it does raise the question of why "Wigger Day" is highly frowned upon while nobody bats an eyelash at Dave Chappelle when he does pretty much the same thing on national TV.

Probably because white people in the US are the privileged race, never having to have endure oppression or being rejected from a job based on an unconscious reaction to their skin color or such. ...Not that I agree with racism at all, but that's why no one bats an eyelash.

Unless of course the white person is gay or anything else 'unseemly'. But now that I have wiggers on the brain I'm thinking of Eminem.
