Some of the gems from this thread at Raptard Ready have made it to the main board on account of their stupidity and inhumanity.
I'd been a member of the Rapture Ready for over a year, occasionally posting useful information without bias for some of the poor souls caught up in that death cult. This time, I just couldn't hold back, however, and so I posted this:
Now, I would have posted relevant links, but the raptards won't allow any links to be posted until an individual has posted at least 15 times.
This is the response I got from MrMannn:

...but apparently cowardice is okay as long as it's demonstrated by someone who supports torture.
Now I would like to reiterate, water-boarding is torture, and I've lost any vestige of pity for the raptards and their pathetic little stories. I'm tempted to set up a few sock puppets and show that asshat what real trolling looks like.

I agree with Anthony, and I am by turns disappointed and disgusted by some of the “rebuttals” he's received.
Christianity is a religion of absolute morals – some things are absolutely right, for all time; and some things are absolutely wrong. Fallacious appeals to emotion – “Remember all those people who died on 9/11?” – will in no way change that fact.
Water-boarding is controlled drowning. It is torture.
Often as not, torture elicits false confessions, diverting resources away from the timely investigation of real threats. It causes psychological and sometimes physical damage to people who have never been found guilty of anything in an actual court of law, and it does psychological damage to the torturers as well.
The United States now has absolutely no moral authority to be telling other countries how to end human rights abuses or stop the mistreatment of war prisoners.
Are those legitimate Bible verses Anthony cited, or aren't they? Do they tell you how to behave towards your enemies or don't they? You ignore them, trying to weasel out of treating enemies humanely by saying mercy is the job of the individual while the government, which acts as proxy for all the people, is still somehow allowed to torture on your behalf.
For shame.

Waterboarding is NOT torture. And please do not give the impression that people are lesser Christians because they disagree with you.
